I am new to ubuntu so please forgive me it I sound like a noob. I have a dell inspiron 1545 notebook with win7 ultimate 64bit and I am trying to install ubuntu 10.10 32bit (because vmware player will not accept 64bit) on vmware player. Everything goes smooth until it starts to show the ubuntu desktop. it gives me the top bar and then pops and error up on the screen that says installation failed: the installer encountered and unrecoverable error and will now reboot. If i let it do this it will reboot vmplayer and run the install again and go right back to an error. I looped the installation 3 times now. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong?
