View Full Version : What is the current version of GNOME-Shell

Well I am happily running Ubuntu 10.10, but I want to try Gnome-Shell I can see what version is in the repositories, but I don't know what is the latest version. If anyone could tell me what version it is, that would be great. As long as it isn't that old, I am fine with trying it out. But I want to have an updated copy of Gnome-Shell, and Compiling isn't my thing (and I wouldn't be able to deal with GTK3).

I don't know what the latest version is but I do know that the version in Maverick is quite old.

I don't know if this is accurate because I don't know if gnome-shell has a version different than the current version of gnome, but here's a schedule:
