View Full Version : [ubuntu] Novell iprint client

Hello, I'm new to linux but have started to figure out how to get around a little bit. I've tried to get Novell iprint client work but have run into some problems. I followed the instructions given at

http://www.novell.com/communities/node/4208/using-iprint-with-ubuntu

and completed those steps without any errors. Mozilla Firefox shows that I have the Novell Iprint plug-in but when I go back to my printers webpage to download the specific drives for the printer I get "iPrint Client - The request contained bad syntax." regardless of the printer that I'm trying to install.

Any advice on this?

I have followed the same steps myself, but I get the same error about bad syntax. Does anyone else know how to get iPrint to run under Ubuntu 10.04?

I'm sorry that I can't give you a more detailed response but from what I remember you don't have to install the iprint client. You just need to configure CUPS for the particular IPP printer that you want to print to. I found this threat very helpful:
