ive tried deleting some partitions after installing ubuntu too many times on my computer until i get the "grub rescue" error message when i try to start the computer
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RecoveringUbuntuAfterInstallingWindows
so i followed through that part with loading grub in windows first until the
#dd if=/dev/sda2 of=/tmp/windows/linux.bin bs=512 count
command. i dont get any response from the terminal; it just asks me for a command as if nothing happened. I've tried replacing sda2 with some of the other partitions listed and im not sure what about the tmp/windows directory, but i keep getting no response

btw the first 3 partitions are from my preinstalled windows os.any help?
