login screen modify in kubuntu 10.10

Hi folks there ...
I would like to know how can i change the awful login theme (Ethais) included in kubuntu 10.10 as the only and the unique login theme. I tried everything as sudo user, but it always failed. Thanks.

I've got the same problem. After installing various themes, they do not appear in the list, just the standard theme :confused:

Anyone got any idea?
