Hi guys,

I'm planning on buying a trackball tomorrow, and I want to ensure it is compatible with Linux.

I'll probably get a simple generic one, depending on what they stock; it's for my netbook and will be USB.

Question: Will I have compatibility issues using a trackball on Linux, or should it just work out of the box? Should I go for a specific brand? I don't mind paying a little extra for one if it means it will work with Linux.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the reply Cascade9, I'll look out for a Logitech as I know they're a decent brand.

No problem. Thanks for reminding me I really have to try to fix the TrackMan Wheel around here. Not a hardware fault, a user problem (I spilled a drink on it when I was 'multitasking' with not enough sleep).
