Hi,
I updated from 10.04 to 10.10 using the update manager, I have two internal drives running XP and Ubuntu separately, I also had an external drive connected during the upgrade
The first problem I had was I got the Grub Rescue prompt , running the bootscript showed grub was installed on sda1 (xp) and sdb1 (linux), I don't have an XP disc so I followed instructions to replace the XP MBR but seem to have royally screwed it up.
The current bootscript results are attached (I have removed the external drive) - I think I've replaced the XP MBR with the wrong software but can't for the life of me sort it out.
When I turn on the machine now it flicks "MBR" after the scripts of RAID etc then the windows XP logo/start up animation appears and I get a blue screen with PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAIILED
