Why isn't the Rhythmbox icon showing up in the top panel? I love having that thing there, but now changing songs is so inconvenient. :[

If you are on 10.10... just click the Sound Icon.. you will see Rhythmbox tiny player there

If you upgraded to 10.10 from 10.04, for some reason it resets Rhythmbox to not show up in the systray area of your panels/docks/etc. Open Rythmbox and go to:

EDIT > PLUGINS > STATUS ICON

Make sure it is checked and then hit "configure" and choose when/how you want the status icon to appear in your panel.
