Hi there, I have got some problem concerning the installation operation.
I have already installed successfully all of Ubuntu's distro, within the 9.10.
Installing the 10.04 or 10.10 the LCD monitor just comes up with a strange error "too high frequency".
Apparently the problem is the monitor, but how it is possible? All Ubuntu's versions I installed work correctly.
I tried the Ubuntu Alternate, it installs the operative system, unfortunately when I boot the monitor just starts to show up that message.
How can I solve it?

My computer's specifications:
Pentium 4 UniCore Processor 3,2 GHz
NVidia GeForce 5600FX
1 GB RAM
100 GB Hard Disk

Thanks in advance!

Hi there. I have the same problem.

I have just formated my old college computer in order to install xubuntu 11.10.

Everything is ok while installing but when the computer has to be rebooted, the old 90's screen shows "H.V. Frequency Over Range". Then the loading xubuntu page appears... then the screen turns black. The computer stays turned on.

Any idea please?

Thank you.
