10.04 /home with fresh 10.10 install

I have a separate /home with my current 10.04. Is there a reason I shouldn't install 10.10 and keep my current /home? Can this cause problems?

I have done this for the last two versions. The only thing to watch is that there will be a whole bunch of .* files and folders in your home (hidden). These are for configuration of all the software you use.
I normally copy of of them to a backup folder before I do the new install, as they may cause conflicts with the new version.
You may want to save/backup your Firefox bookmarks etc, and any other software specific settings first.
