compaq evo n1015v runs 10.04 fine, wouldn't run 9.10 via live cd installation, only via upgrade but that was so awful i went back to 9.04 which was great now it won't have anything to do with 10.10, the live cd takes me to the try without installing screen but essentially all i end up with is a black screen with a pointer...thats it ! however kubuntu 10.10 and xubuntu 10.10 both load up with out problems ??? all the cds i am using were checked using sha256 sums and had disc integrity checked and passed with flying colours on both counts. Any help appreciated but please please keep it simple.
