Hi everyone,
Yesterday I wiped my Dell laptop and did a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.10. I was running 9.04 and decided it was time to wipe it and get the new one. However, my sound stopped working properly and I was wondering how to begin troubleshooting it.
Basically what happens is the volume doesn't work. It is either extremely loud, or it is muted. This problem never showed up in Ubuntu 9.04 and I was wondering how I might get alternative/older sound drivers loaded or perhaps more generally troubleshooting some other settings.
