Found on the ubuntu website:
http://www.ubuntu.com/contact-us

Web feedback
If you have suggestions or corrections for ubuntu.com or canonical.com, email us at webmaster@ubuntu.com or webmaster@canonical.com.
I contacted them with one of the previous releases... there were a few spelling errors back then. I guess they have a lot on their minds on days like this :)

edit: you registered at the forums just to tell this?

It may well be the case that the browser they are refering to is actually chromium:
"Chromium is the open-source project behind Google Chrome" <- chromium homepage (http://code.google.com/chromium/)

I hope you get sued :P

LOL Chromium is the code name, the browser's name is Chrome, not Chromium. Prolly rename it to Sulfur, since it stinks lol..

Aye, although less enjoyable for all!

Fail.

You indeed fail at linkage, and possibly missed what the OP is talking about.

That's hardly an insult to Google. If anything, it's an insult to the Chromium team since it seemingly gives credit to Google.

Chromium should sue Ubuntu for all they're worth! :P

Someone should make a mod with lawyers running around shooting legal documents at eachother :D

In Ubuntu it is chromium so the website is correct.

apt-cache policy chrome
N: Unable to locate package chrome

apt-cache policy chromium-browser
chromium-browser:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 6.0.472.63~r59945-0ubuntu2
Version table:
6.0.472.63~r59945-0ubuntu2 0

Chromium is an open-source browser project that aims to build a safer, faster,
and more stable way for all Internet users to experience the web.

Chromium serves as a base for Google Chrome, which is Chromium rebranded (name
and logo) with very few additions such as usage tracking and an auto-updater
system.

This package contains the Chromium browser

Chrome and Chromium were both available in 10.04. I guess no one ever used Chrome. :)

Yes, but it's not Google Chromium; the website is technically wrong. Not that it matters, I can't imagine anyone caring.

Especially since there's some free Google Chrome advertisement via the icon and text to the lower right of the error.

But on the other hand: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromium_(web_browser)#History)

Because Chromium is the open source project that results in releases of Google Chrome, the history of the two is intertwined. Chromium is a project, making all releases developmental, with Chrome being the official release.

Google Chrome was first introduced in September 2008 and along with its release the Chromium source code was also made available allowing builds to be constructed from it.I wonder why people would call Chromium Google? Maybe because it came from Google. Google completely coded the whole thing before they released it to the community to be open source. They created it, they released it, the whole purpose of it is for their browser. So why is it wrong to think of it as a Google thing?

@forrestcupp: OP definitely has to be a troll, because even Google has a site devoted to Chromium:

It's similar to LibreOffice. It wouldn't be right to call it Oracle LibreOffice. Oracle doesn't make LibreOffice, they make OpenOffice.

There was an emote accompanying that sentence, or were you just looking for something to be offended by?

It's similar to LibreOffice. It wouldn't be right to call it Oracle LibreOffice. Oracle doesn't make LibreOffice, they make OpenOffice.
I beg to differ. OpenOffice was a project open-sourced by Java from a company they bought. None of OpenOffice's owner can claim it as it's origin, neither can LibreOffice since it's a product of a foundation - who combined many variants of OOo - not from Oracle or any other previous owner of OpenOffice.

On the other hand, Google Chrome originated at Google, they created the open-source community, and, IMO, deserve the name on Chromium.
