View Full Version : [ubuntu] Setting Ubuntu as a router with PPPoE connection, dynamic private IP

There (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Router) is an explanation about how to set Ubuntu as a router. Unfortunately, there is nothing about PPPoE connection with dynamic IP. My unfortunate situation is that Telecom Mongolia provides us with only one private, dynamically allocated IPv4 number inside a big LAN (of the size of the city) through ADSL PPPoE. I'd like to set a small LAN inside it, for our office. We have an ADSL modem and a switch. I guess I have to buy a second ethernet card. And then, do you know how I could adapt the help page instructions to this case?
