What Kernel would you recommend for the following kit

Intel DG41BI Motherboard

Intel E5400 dual core processor (64 bit) 2.70 Ghz

2 GB DDR3 RAM (1333 Mhz)

1 TB Seagate ST31000520AS Barracuda LP Hard Drive (internal, 3.0gb/s SATA interface)

16X LG DVD R/W

20in LG LCD monitor.

I'm most familiar with Intrepid Ibex 32/64 bit. Never used Jaunty 9.04 due to compatibility problems with old PC. Intel's website says the motherboard and processor is compatible with 10.04. Any Feedback would be much appreciared

Why not burn a LiveCD of 10.04 and try it out?

I probably will.
My main concern is getting the dual core 64 bit processors configured correctly. What is the normal temperature for a CPU?, I think I read it was like 60-65 degrees C. Though I think because I was using a Western Digital Hard Drive that was way past it's prime, (spinning too fast, couldn't complete an error scan), my CPU temp was normally at like 75-80 degrees C. The Power supply finally fried on Saturday, taking the motherboard with it. And it did have a CPU fan
