Can you install Froyo on rooted Devour?

I will be rooting a Motorola Devour sometime this week and the person who I am doing it for wants to know if Android Froyo 2.2 is able to be installed in his device. I wasn't sure so I though the Ubuntu Community would know.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's been done with an HTC Incredible, so theoretically it's POSSIBLE, but I'm not sure I'd suggest it. The end result isn't exactly great.
