I remember trying to get domain names a few years back, but the situation seems to be getting SO much worse!!! Almost everything I can think of a for a business name, that domain has gone. As you might guess, 99.9% of them are "parked"!!!

Anyone else having a pain trying to find domains.

nice one.
looks like that type of .be pun would also all be taken by domain squatters.

I guess you're looking for domains of the form companyname.com; so how hard can it be - the domain squatters have registered all possible company names ?

Yes for a new company. I will get something!! Thing is, just try and think of a good name for a new brand, then check for a domain :) Lots of stuff is taken.

You do realize you can try and pay top-dollar for a particularly good domain name, right? You just sometimes need to get a ridiculous amount of money, someone to negotiate it, etc. It's not really a case of them being gone, they just cost more.

Does it suck? Absolutely, but that doesn't mean you can't grab it from somebody.

Very true. However I some of the prices I have seen quoted for domains are way off the scale. They start at about $1500 for some, which quite frankly, **** Turpin would have been ashamed to quote :)
