10.10 Netbook Upgrade: How do I work with files?

Just finished upgrading my Eeepc 1000HE and have noticed a certain sluggishness in the new UI (as others have also commented). But my big issue is that I can't for the life of me figure out how to work with files the way I did in Nautilus. And why can't I figure out how to run Nautilus??

All I want to do is click on a file icon and drag it into a folder and I can't figure out a way to do it. Makes me feel pretty stupid :)

i asked myself the exact same question. after some mildly frustrating clicking around i found a way, i think.
click on the "files & folders", then click any of the icons in that window and watch bar at the top with the filters. at the right end of this bar should be small folder icon - click it! worked for me.
