Custom installation

I would like to install a fresh copy of 10.10 with only the software packages I want. Would I be able to accomplish that using the Alternate CD?

That does work, but I'm only looking to not install a few software as opposed to installing just a few software. With my net speed it would be a pain to download all those packages separately, not to mention my lack of knowledge of the package names.

Ah, just now the Alternate CD download completed. Let's see how it goes.

I used the OEM install to remove all the softwares I didn't need, but in the end, it was the same thing as uninstalling normally.
