So how come everyone uses VNC?
I know the answer of course, because doing
ssh -X blah@blah
gnome-session
is really slow!
But that seems silly to me to be constantly shipping pixels back and forth using VNC when X Windows is supposed to work remotely, and doing just simple "xterm" commands isn't too bad. So I'm wondering if Kubuntu or Xubuntu would be better.
So does anyone use X-Windows tunneling over SSH on regular basis who can give me some tips?
