Remove Email icon from Panel

Hi there

does anybody know how to remove the email icon from the gnome panel? since I don't need a local email client on my ubuntu machine, I would like to remove it.

Just Right click it and choose remove from panel ;)

You are talking about ubuntu desktop and not ubuntu netbook right?

For ubuntu netbook you need to remove a couple packages (idicator-messages and/or indicator-me).

Would be tooooo easy - If I do that, it also removes other icons that should stay there...
