The output you posted shows an IP address, which means the network card works, at least a little. What's the problem exactly, or why do you think it doesn't work?

"eth0" is the network card which is temporary. When i install Ubuntu i saw only two reading in result if this command "ifconfig -a". The output is

lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
RX packets:4 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:4 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:240 (240.0 B) TX bytes:240 (240.0 B)

pan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 5e:25:17:a1:18:ac
BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)

The problem i found is that it doesnt work because it does not listed in System > Preferenes > Network Connections".

So what's the model of the non-working network card?
Can you put it back in and post the output of the following command:

lspci | grep -i net

Yeah, that device is not recognized at all. Did it work on other versions of Ubuntu? If you have Windows installed in that computer, check its device manager.

I think your network card is not supported in 9.04,
try a newer version, 10.10 or 10.04
