I would like to have an encrypted installation of Ubuntu. This is only possible the easy way to install ubuntu using the alternate installer and then selecting the option to encrypt.
I however already have the Ubuntu netbook edaition 10.04 installed. I could upgrade to 10.10 and then encrypt it all using smth like dmt-trypt, LUKS stuff. But this doesn't seem so easy.
So what I would like to know:
Will the ubuntu changed to ubuntu netbook edition be exactly the same as the ubuntu netbook edition or will it use more resources (ie is the netbook edition the exact same OS but with diff interface or does it use less resources etc by letting out some regular ubuntu stuff?)
Or would be it better/faster to just upgrade this netbook edition to the 10.10 and then just encrypt it.. If so, can anyone explain me the easiest way to do it or point me to a guide.. (dm-crypt luks ****)
