in my calendar we have still 21 days in 10-2010.

If it would be released today, ubuntu 10.10 would be called 10.10.10

I will wait till around the 20th of the 10th month of (20)10

I was able to start downloading around 7:00am Eastern Standard Time.

It's 7:30am now and the iso is fully downloaded. I would say this is prime service.

And it's FREE!! :P

I'm just installing now!

They should have waited until 10:10 GMT.

Btw, I'm running the RC already, and my Elantach touchpad works! Ubuntu officially does all I need.

Symmetry for the sake of symmery is just the mind playing childish games.

It didn't hurt that it's a long weekend in North America and it became available on a Sunday morning, so the church, football, and traveling factors helped. Most of Canada is closed tomorrow for Thanksgiving.

It wasn't :D I was sitting at home hitting refresh regularly in nerdy fashion :-D

http://releases.ubuntu.com/10.10/

The update times on the ones marked for today are not 10.10.

OMG Ubuntu is not a good source of news :)

:D Don't worry, they appear to do it often, you'll get used to it. Just use their guides if you find any useful ones and I think it should be alright.... ;)

I would rather it come out when it was ready, which it did. I did have to install twice though the first time after the reboot there was no grub menu. still never mind, its a geat day for computing.
