I got out an old laptop from a while ago, hadn't used it in maybe 5 years. I've forgotten the password to the Windows account, but that's okay, cause I just wanted to put Linux on it...right?
Well, that 10.04 CD that worked just three days ago doesn't seem to on this one. I plug it in, punch F12 to go to the boot menu, and choose CD/DVD Drive. It gives some text about "ISOLINUX Debian" for a moment, and then it goes to the normal purple screen.
The problem is, it just stays at the purple screen.
Since the only other thing I got on there is Windows, and I can't even access that well, any solutions I've found on here haven't helped me. :(
All help appreciated.
