Folder View resizes itself

The widget, folder view, in Kubuntu, resizes itself, I have never gotten it to resize to the size I want it to. Here's how I'm doing it.

Click on the box that allows you to resize, it, drag it to the size, release the mouse button. I move the mouse away, and it resizes itself. I can't get this to work and it's irritating that it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

Amazingly I fixed the issue, and here's how, I installed kde-full and restarted, now it's working. The previous attempts I've done with Kubuntu, have never worked, now I wonder if they had kde-full installed.

Also I got rid of those annoying notifications and installed colibri, the defaults notifications take up like 30% of your screen space and get in the way and popup over and over - especially if you get notified when someone signs in in messenger.
