I've written a program to provide a gui of wide area network utilities under kubuntu / kde.

Tempted to call it kwan

but I am sure there is a better name? ;)

I would go for a slight tweak on kwan:
k-wan

Pronounced as K 1 :)

I personally think we should all rebel against anyone who suggests a KDE app beginning with a `k`. :)

I Kinda Klike the k naming konvention for most KDE applikations; it shows what the applikation was designed for

Me too. I don't get all the rage against the "k" naming.

From googling kwan I get this:

Originating in a dorm room in Houston, Texas. The word kwan is a mispronunciacion of the word coin, and is used to describe something of little value; not worth picking up off the street.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=kwan

and this:

Kind of opposite meanings

Do you have an intended audience in mind for this program? Who are you writing it for?
