HP quickweb and general install questions

Recently, I got a new laptop with a new feature which is the HP quickweb. It seems to "boot" from the BIOS. Does anybody know if dual-booting will cause any problems with the quickweb? I was planning on disabling the quickweb anyway, but I just wanted to make sure. Another small question I had was that when you upgrade to a new version of Ubuntu using the CD as opposed to the update manager do you just install it on the same partition and expect it to wipe the old install or what? Please inform me.

Did you find out anything about this, as I have the same question regarding quickweb.

I did the wubi install, and my quickweb was untouched. The only problem is that if you have one of HP's fantastic all-in-one clickpads you won't have right click or any feasible way to click and drag.
