Has anyone tried AOE with Wine? Does it work?

Last I tried AoE 2: Age of Kings (with and without the expansion) it just didn't work. Since this is a MS game I'm not that surprised.

AoM got me to a gui I think, but I don't remember getting the game itself to ever work in linux.

Thanks. I'll have to snaffle a copy of Cedega from somewhere then!

I have tried AoE2 and AoE and expandsions, with cedega and wine, They both work ... but the fonts are black, making the game unplayable. I didn't try to get the game working past that.

How can I uninstall AoE if I need to? Without uninstalling Wine?

I installed a trial of crossover office, then installed AoE II. It would hard boot me back to the OS when I tried to play it though. Stupid installer took almost 3 hours to install though. :-?

Photoshop CS wouldn't even install on there ( ! ), that was my main reason for trying out cx.
