I have removed a few buttons from one panel, because they were sticked together and I wanted to change their order. Now I can not add them back. The three buttons were:
- gnome-volume-control-applet, added in System>Preferences>Startup Applications
- Keyboard Layout, added with System>Preferences>Keyboard
- Gmail Notify, installed with Applications>Ubuntu Software Center
They do not show, even if some of them are running.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04.

Do you know maybe some config in gconf-editor to get me out of this trouble?

Thanks,
Doru

If you right click on an empty space on the tool bar a menu will pop up. Click add. The volume control and mail icon are together and it is call Indicator Applet.

Great, but I had the volume alone, with my solution in the first post, and how about the keyboard layout and the gmail notifier?

They were in "Notification Area", you really put me on the right track, thanks!
