I have an Aspire One D250, which hardware is entirely detected using the Ubuntu Netbook Edition. But i am not satisfied with the performance and lack of customisation of this system, so I´m experimenting with the Ubuntu Minimal setup (in a virtual machine on my desktop computer), then using openbox as my desktop, and other lighter apps. So far, so good, but i have two problems:

1. How to enable install of Ubuntu Minimal through USB?
2. How to include the drivers for my netbook so everything can be detected, just like in UNE?

If someone can help me on these issues, it would be very, very nice. Thanks for any help.

Without knowing anything about your hardware, it is impossible to answer. :) If you install the application 'jockey-gtk' it will help you install any non-free drivers that may be necessary for your hardware.
