Installation Problem

I recently downloaded Ubuntu and I have installed the software successfully on a Dell laptop at work, however when I tried to install it in my home laptop it fails – the CD runs I get the Ubuntu load screen and then nothing. The CD stops running and I get a blank screen.

I think it may be related to the screen driver, is there a way to see what is going on?

depending on your cd/dvd reader sometimes we need to burn the cd/dvd with the lowest speed available, if you can boot on usb, try it and save a cd/dvd.

We need to know what graphics card you have installed on the laptop at home.

Also, which version of Ubuntu did you download?
