There is no Ubuntu 8.0.4 AFAIK and if they meant Ubuntu 8.4 I would have to ask: WHY?!

There is no 8.4 either. The '8.0.4' is a simple typo for 8.04.

I should imagine because it's a LTS release, and that although the desktop edition is only supported for another half-year or so, the server edition is supported for another two and a half years. There will be many, many server installs of 8.04 with no reason to upgrade to the later 10.04 LTS.

On both counts I stand corrected and I thank you :D
