I'm currently looking at creating my own personal repository for two reasons.

To save massive downloading after re-installs.
And to save having to waste download on the same packages more the once between multiple computers.

So far I've found the following page;
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Repositories/Personal

I still have a couple questions though.

With all having all the packages in a directory, is the a simple way of automatically removing older versions of a package if the latest is there as well (so only the latest versions are in the directory)?
Will it still work with subdirectories so that I can organize them for browsing purposes (i.e. /mydebs/games/action /mydebs/media /mydebs/graphics), or do all the packages have to be in the same dir?
