Hello,
I was trying to install ubuntu studio 10.04 on this computer:
K7D Master 2xAMD2800+, 2GB RAM, 2xHDD IDE, DVD IDE, 4x HDD SCSI on 53C875 chipset. On disk IDE C: is already installed winXP. I was trying 3 times:
1) on disk SCSI nr. 4
2) IDE D: on selected partition
3) IDE D: whole disk
I follow the installer suggestions.
Partitioning program and installer detect all disks and hardware.
During the GRUB installation ubuntu says that only one system is present on this computer and it is just right now installed ubuntu, then he install GRUB'a in main boot sector but after restart is no possibilities to boot to ubuntu, always winXP is booting, if boot is sat to D: or SCSI no system or hang up.
During last installation ( 3) ) GRUB detect previously installed system - previous ubuntu, install boot but no changes in booting.
During XP is booting no changes are observed, no delay, no menu etc.
I am sorry if I did something wrong - I am new ubuntu user with no experience.
Is there possibility that GRUB is loading by default XP with no delay ? how I can edit it without access to ubuntu ?
How to boot to ubuntu or solve this problem.
Regards
