Hi all,
I have a problem for Server installations of Lucid which is resolved by the thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=9308664&postcount=13
My question is can I make an ISO which includes the fix so other people do not have to make this change. Our users will not always be technical so anything we can automate is a good thing. The hardware is fixed so this would be a great solution and for 50+ installs might reduce some disappointment.
I have read about preseeding but this appears to be about answering questions which are asked. You are never asked for additional kernel parameters for the install so I don't think this will help.
What I want to do is stick the CD in and have the fresh install be default have the nomodeset set.
