Hi,
I installed X 4.8.0 from www.xfree86.org. But now after booting ubuntu, my screen is going blank. I'm not even able to log in(except in recovery mode). The installation process has created back-ups of old X files. Plz tell how to restore my old version of X. Plzzzz help me asap. I have ubuntu (lucid lynx).
