The upgrade instructions say you can use the upgrade manager to go from 10.4 to 10.10. I am currently running 9.10. Will this still work? Or do I have to go to 10.4 first? Or can I download the 10.10 alternate install iso and upgrade directly with that for both my Ubuntu and UbuntuStudio installations?

Thanks,

-Sno

If 9.10 works well, I would wait a month or two and then do a clean install of Ubuntu and Ubuntu Studio 10.10.

For the regular Ubuntu, you could by now test the release candidate for 10.10, but Studio is not yet in 10.10.

You can't skip releases. You need to go to 10.04 first, and then on to 10.10 (when it is released).

Some users prefer to do a complete reinstall of each new release, for that clean fresh feeling. :)

All of this is well documented: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes
