How to change default telnet app

I've found all sort of information on how to change a default "open with..." association. However, I want to change the default telnet app for telnet:// URIs. Is this specific to the browser? I use Firefox and Chrome mostly, and occasionally Konqueror.

Yes, it's browser-specific. In Firefox, type "about:config" in the address bar and do a search for telnet. Mine shows it uses xterm. Double-click the application entry to edit it.
