I recently switched over from Windows and while I have managed to configure just about every other hardware I own, I still haven't been able to configure my Canon MP258 Printer. I searched the Internet a LOT and found some drivers from the Europe-Canon software centre for Linux but i am unable to make the file.
The instructions in the INSTALL file of that driver asks me to perform,
$./configure
$ make
$ make installConfigure works fine. But unfortunately, when I type "make", the terminal asks for "target" file (ergo, fails to do anything) and when I type make install, it again says, "no rule to make install" ..
What do I do ?
