Hi,

Was just wondering if it is possible to (easily) regress updates that are applied through the update manager.

I've had issues before after doing updates. Usually I can fix by a bit of googling or putting up with it and then it works again with someother update that seems to 'fix' it. However, I frequently see a lot of people on this forum with major problems after doing an upgrade. A good percentage of them a newbies, who shouldn't have to go through the pain of their system becoming unusuable or wireless not working or whatever.

Is there an easy way to remove all updates that were applied and regress all the associated packages back to their previous versions, sort of like a Windows System Restore? After regressing you can then decide to update each package one at a time or just wait another week or so and try again.

I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking this is a good idea.

Cheers

:)

Basically, no. There is no system roll-back capability.
