Discordian calendar date on panel?

According to the Discordian calendar, "Today is Pungenday, the 54th day of Bureaucracy in the YOLD 3176". But according to the boring calendar on my top panel, it's "Thu 30 Sep".

Is there a way to replace the boring panel calendar with the far more useful and interesting Discordian version? (If you don't know what I'm blathering on about, try the commands ddate and man ddate in a terminal).

If it is not possible to display it on the panel, you could use conky. I use it to display current Planets positions on the Zodiac.
