Alright, I'm working with my college's radio station to make a new music player for them (so they don't have to pay a couple hundred bucks for professional software). So far, things have really been coming together and we only lack a couple of features. However, I was wondering if some of the more experienced coders here might know how to do a few things that have stumped my fellow coder and I...
1. We currently build a JAR on the main server (running CentOS), but we would like to have that JAR converted into a Windows EXE for several reasons. Is there a way to convert an executable JAR into a Windows EXE file in Linux? (Yes, I know this defeats the purpose of Java as a platform-independent language, but we use Windows-only libraries for CD ripping already.)
2. The player needs to stream audio to the station's website (which is run by the CentOS server). My partner says he has some idea about how to go about this, but says we will need to "do a lot of Googling." Is there an online guide about (or a library for) streaming audio in Java?
