We installed ubuntu like 2 months ago on my girlfriend's laptop, and we love it, but the problem is that I installed it at my house, where I don't have an internet connection...

So I don't have access to any updates or files, and because we're n00bs, we don't know how to use the terminal to install things (without syanptic). I need, for example, the propietary drivers for my graphic card, audio and video codecs and wine.

So if someone could be so kind to explain step by step process to get these, I'm sure we can figure out how to get any other file we should possibly need.

Thank you very much, and I'm glad to be a part of this community (this is also my first post here)

Edit:
I just noticed I posted this in the wrong forum, sorry, I wish I could move it >////>

Check this link:

https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/add-applications/C/index.html

It explains how to install packages without internet and what to use.

If it is a laptop, the easiest would be to take the laptop somewhere you have an internet connection and do the install and updates there..
