Testing the webcam on the iMac

I started up with the 10.04 Live CD on my iMac and I was just wondering if there is a way I can check if the webcam is working properly.

How do you mean, "working properly"? Surely it either works or it doesn't.

Try it with cheese to see if you get a picture output. Cheese is in the repos, but I can't remember if it is on the live CD, so install it to the live CD if you wish; it's a small download.
