i've downloaded ubuntu 10.10 as iso file ( maverick-desktop-i386.iso )
and now i'm using ubuntu 10.04 and i need to install 10.10 ,,
is that possible to install it from that iso through wubi like in windows or i must burn it on a CD ??
note :
i downloaded the latest version instead of upgrading because i have some problems with upgrading . thx

The safest approach is burning to a CD and trying a live boot. If that works, do a clean install from the CD and remember to have wired internet access when you install.

You cannot install to the same partition, but should be able to install to another partition.

Direct boot on hard drive:

Boot ISO from harddrive. To install it would have to be different partition
