Anyone else noticed this (http://www.zdnet.com/news/segway-chief-dies-after-driving-scooter-off-cliff/468989)?

It's strange: even though this is a tragedy, it still made me chuckle. As a Something Awful Forums (http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3351928) member put it, Jimi Heselden was "hoisted with [his] own petard". The invention that made Heseldon's fortune played a big part in his demise.

The Segway is touted as very safe because it can't fall over. Well, actually it can fall over... a cliff.

The thread title is slightly incorrect. Jimi Heselden didn't invent the Segway; he only owned the company. Dean Kamen was the one who actually invented the Segway, and he's still alive and kicking.

Beat me to it.
