Ubuntu 9.10 Not shutting down completely

I have my PC but it's not shutting down completely. Black screen and shows the given error message.

" Stopping the Windbind Daemon winbind
Shutting down AlSA
Asking all remaining processes to terminate
Deconfiguring network interfaces
Deactivating the swap
Will now halt"
