View Full Version : 301 Redirects and Google Ranking

Hi guys, i have page that displays my twitter feed using a javascript widget that is available from twitter itself. This page will not index the text of the twitter feed as its a javascript widget...

I have found a different way to use php to display the feed and thus the text will get indexed. However I can not customised the way it looks anywhere near as much as the javascript version .

If... I got the php version indexed, and got it to redirect to the javascript version will that work? Ive heard stories that google does not like indexed pages to redirect and will penalise you for it or even remove you completely from their index?

Can anyone shed any light on this and if it is advisable?

Many Thanks!
