Is there a way to add lxterminal to the LXDE task bar? I noticed that it was not listed as a selection under Add/Remove Panel Items and when clicking Add, the "plugins" listed do not include this.

I previously used LXDE with Mandriva and their implementation included it on the Task Bar.

Thanks for any info.

You need to go into the panel menu, add new panel item, add an applications bar and then add lxterminal to the applications bar.

Worked (sort of), but caused a new problem. The terminal icon is stuck at the far right of the panel bar (next to the clock) and cannot be moved over to the left.

The new problem is that in the process of adding that, the red icon to logout/shutdown/reboot, is gone.

Yes it can. You just have to use the arrows.

Open Panel Preferences, go to Panel Applets, then highlight the Application Launch Bar and then click on the Up button until it's where you want it to be

I'm used to "drag-and-drop" for those things...

Was able to move it over and also restored the Logout button (created a new Application Panel) and found Logout on a different menu.

Thanks for the assistance. :)
